Why Not Be …

Producer | Videographer | Editor

When you come to university you can be anything you want to be, so why not be open-minded?

As part of a marginalised group, whether that is due to your ethnicity, gender, sexuality or disability, you could be faced with microaggressions almost every day. These videos serve to highlight what microaggressions are, how they may sound to people on the receiving end and how to be more inclusive. When students go to university, they have the freedom to become whoever they want to be. Students sometimes feel that some guidelines for behavior are not always clear - there is a need to be explicit in the expectations of students. This video series was created in collaboration with students to highlight their experiences and to set expectations to show current & prospective students clearly how they can be inclusive, respectful, open-minded and appreciative.
